NIA has arrested the seventh accused, a Faridabad resident, for allegedly providing shelter and logistical support to the main bomber involved in the Red Fort car blast case.
The National Investigation Agency continued its investigation into the November 10 Red Fort car blast by taking another key operative into custody. The arrested individual, identified as a resident of Dhauj village in Faridabad, is suspected of harbouring the prime bomber Umar Un Nabi and offering him essential logistical assistance that enabled him to execute the attack while evading detection.
According to investigators, the accused provided a safe stay, mobility support, and communication cover to the bomber during the preparation phase. This arrest adds to the six previous arrests made over the past weeks, all linked to the same terror module.
Sources indicate that the terror network operated across multiple states, using safe houses, mobile devices, and improvised materials to engineer the blast that rocked the national capital. The NIA believes that dismantling the shelter and logistics chain is crucial to preventing future attacks.
With this arrest, the NIA is expected to intensify its focus on tracing financial routes, additional hideouts, and any foreign links associated with the module. The investigation remains in full swing as multiple teams conduct parallel ope
rations.
