Digital video streaming has been increasing continuously in the country for some time, but in the meantime, the government has taken big action on platforms showing obscene and objectionable content. Yes, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) has blocked 5 OTT platforms for violating the IT Act and the Digital Media Ethics Code. 

 

According to media reports, complaints were being received against these platforms for a long time, on which action has now been taken and their access has been blocked. Let's know which OTT platforms have been blocked...

 

Which OTT platforms were blocked?

 

The apps and websites that have been banned in the list released by the government include these platforms.

 

1. MoodXVIP

2. Koyal Playpro

3. Digi Movieplex

4. Feel

5. Jugnu

 

In fact, all these apps are alleged that they were showing such content for a long time, in which bold scenes, objectionable plots and content were shown against social standards. Now internet service providers have been instructed to block their access immediately so that users cannot use them.
