Macron, Bhutan PM and Cyprus President Extend Wishes on India’s 77th Republic Day

 

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday thanked French President Emmanuel Macron, Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, and Cyprus President Nicos Christodoulides for their greetings on India's 77th Republic Day.

 

"Thank you to my dear friend President Emmanuel Macron for his greetings on India's 77th Republic Day. I look forward to welcoming you to India soon and further deepening and diversifying the India-France Strategic Partnership. ’’

 

Prime Minister Modi was responding to Macron's post in which the French president recalled his visit as the chief guest at the 2024 Republic Day celebrations.

 

Modi also thanked Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay and the people of Bhutan for their Republic Day greetings.

Replying to the post on X by the Prime Minister of Bhutan, Prime Minister Modi said, “May the special bonds of friendship and unique ties between our countries continue to grow stronger with each passing day.” ’’

 

Responding to Cyprus President Christodoulides' message, Modi said, "Thank you for your good wishes, dear President Nicos Christodoulides." ’’

 

“Cyprus is our close friend and trusted partner, and we are committed to further deepening our comprehensive partnership,” he said. I look forward to welcoming you to India. ’’
