'Vande Mataram' to play before 'Jana Gana Mana': All 6 paragraphs of national song mandatory in schools, cinema halls exempted
The central government has issued new guidelines on 'Vande Mataram' on Wednesday morning. Under the new directive, it will now be mandatory to play 'Vande Mataram' at government events, schools and many important events. All people have to stand up and respect it, just like the national anthem is at the time of 'Jana Gana Mana'. But this rule will not apply during films in cinema halls.
Under the new rules of the Union Home Ministry, 'Vande Mataram' will be played immediately after the national anthem. That is, first again 'Jana Gana Mana'. It will be applicable in all government programs, schools.
'Vande Mataram' to be mandatory at government events
'Vande Mataram' will now be played at civilian felicitation ceremonies like Padma Awards as well. It will be necessary to play this song during the coming and going of the President at any function. This rule will also apply before and after the arrival, departure, speech of the President or Governors. This will also be followed on the occasion of hoisting the tricolor. The Ministry of Home Affairs has clarified that when the song is played or sung, all those present will stand in a meditative posture.
