Many shops in Islamia and surrounding markets were closed on Friday afternoon. The market near the Dargah is completely closed. The police are constantly keeping an eye on the people coming and going by putting up barricades. Police security has been increased at mosques around Biharipur police post.

Due to the arrest of Maulana and the fear of crowd gathering at Islamia Maidan, the administration closed all the schools of the city at 12 o'clock. Police also continued patrolling around schools. At many places including Chowpla, Chowki Square, there is strict police vigil on the road leading to Islamia.
