India Slams Pakistan for Remarks on Ram Temple Flag-Hoisting

India strongly rejects Pakistan’s remarks on the Ram Temple flag-hoisting ceremony, calling Islamabad’s statements hypocritical and lacking moral standing.

India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) issued a firm statement criticising Pakistan for commenting on the flag-hoisting ceremony at the recently inaugurated Ram Temple in Ayodhya. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said Pakistan, with its long history of minority persecution and religious intolerance, has “no moral authority” to comment on India’s internal matters.

The MEA emphasised that Pakistan should focus on improving its own human-rights situation instead of making baseless remarks about India’s cultural or religious ceremonies. India stated that the flag-hoisting at the Ram Temple is a domestic cultural event and international interference is unacceptable.

Pakistan had earlier criticised the ceremony, referring to historical disputes around the site. India responded by saying that such comments are politically motivated attempts to interfere in India’s sovereign decisions.

This exchange adds to ongoing diplomatic tensions between the two nations, highlighting long-standing disputes and differing narratives on religious and minority rights.
