Like Going Back Home

Indian-American astronaut Sunita Williams isn't a stranger to space travel. On her third trip aboard the Boeing Starliner spacecraft, Williams referred to the International Space Station (ISS) as her "home" in space. This sentiment highlights the unique experiences of astronauts who spend extended periods living and working in orbit.

While the ISS is a marvel of human engineering, it's also a confined environment millions of kilometers from Earth. For Williams, the familiarity of the station and the camaraderie likely contribute to her feeling of being at home.
