Sameer Wankhede Says Aryan Khan Wasn’t ‘Bali Ka Bakra’ in Drug Case

Sameer Wankhede breaks his silence, clarifying that Aryan Khan was not made a “bali ka bakra” in the 2021 Mumbai cruise drug case, insisting that the investigation followed legal procedures.

The former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer, Sameer Wankhede, who led the high-profile raid on a luxury cruise ship in 2021, has recently addressed the controversy surrounding Aryan Khan’s arrest. In a new statement, Wankhede emphasized that Aryan was not targeted unfairly or used as a scapegoat. “Aryan Khan was not made a bali ka bakra (sacrificial goat). The investigation was conducted as per the law, and there was no personal vendetta or bias,” he said.

The 2021 drug case involving Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, had drawn national attention after the star kid was arrested during an NCB raid on a cruise ship in Mumbai. Though no drugs were found on Aryan, his arrest led to a massive media storm, raising questions about the investigation’s integrity and the agency’s motives.

Wankhede further clarified that every action taken by the NCB was within the bounds of the law. He also stated that political or personal pressures never influenced his professional decisions. “The agency was doing its job. The law is the same for everyone, whether you are a celebrity or a common citizen,” he added.

Since the case, Aryan Khan was later cleared of all charges, with the NCB admitting that there was no sufficient evidence against him. However, the controversy continued to spark debates about the misuse of power, media trials, and the targeting of Bollywood figures.

Wankhede’s latest clarification seeks to set the record straight and defend his integrity amid the continuing scrutiny. His remarks reignite discussions around the 2021 drug case, highlighting the fine line between justice and public perception in high-profile inves

tigations.
