Every year on 11 November, the United Kingdom observes Armistice Day to remember those who died in military service during World War I and subsequent conflicts. This year, Queen Camilla and Princess Catherine, the Princess of Wales, took part in the solemn ceremony at the Cenotaph in London. Both royals laid wreaths adorned with poppies — the enduring symbol of remembrance — as the nation stood in silence to pay homage.

King Charles III and other members of the Royal Family also attended the ceremony, joining military veterans, officials, and citizens across the country. The service was marked by the traditional two-minute silence at 11 a.m., echoing across the UK to honour the bravery and sacrifice of servicemen and women.

The event reflected the nation’s gratitude and unity in remembrance of those who gave their lives for freedom. Streets were lined with people wearing poppies, and communities across Britain held local ceremonies to mark the occasion.

The Armistice Day service continues to remind the world of the importance of peace and the lasting impact of those who served with courage and honour.
