Dhurandhar is a work of fiction — CBFC confirms it has no connection to the life or service of Major Mohit Sharma after a fresh re-examination.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has officially announced that the Bollywood film Dhurandhar bears no direct or indirect resemblance to the life of the late Major Mohit Sharma, following a detailed re-examination ordered by the Delhi High Court.

According to the Board, the film contains a clear disclaimer stating that all characters and events are fictional. The review committee reaffirmed that the movie did not use or depict any personal, military, or undercover details related to the Ashoka Chakra awardee.

With this conclusion, the film now continues smoothly toward certification and release. The decision also supports the creative independence of filmmakers, balancing it with respect for real-life h
