K-pop superstar Jin from BTS completed his mandatory South Korean military service on June 12th, marking the first member of the group to finish their duty.

Jin, 31, was discharged from the Fifth Army Division base in Yeoncheon County. He was greeted by a joyous welcome from his fellow bandmates – J-Hope, V, RM, Jimin, and Jungkook. The heartwarming scene included celebratory hugs, RM playing "Dynamite" on the saxophone, and a giant bouquet of flowers for Jin.

South Korea enforces mandatory military service for all able-bodied men under 30 due to ongoing tensions with North Korea. This service has kept BTS, a global musical phenomenon, on a self-described hiatus since 2022.

Fans, known as ARMY, also participated in the celebratory atmosphere. Colorful banners and balloons adorned the area outside the base, expressing their love and support for Jin throughout his service.

Jin's discharge marks a significant step towards a potential BTS reunion and return to active music production. The exact timeline for the group's full comeback remains to be seen, but BTS fans worldwide are undoubtedly thrilled to see Jin back.
