New Delhi: AAP and Congress have successfully reached an agreement on seat-sharing for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in four states: Delhi, Gujarat, Goa, and Haryana. The finalized seat allocation was announced during a joint press conference held in Delhi today, attended by representatives including Atishi, Sandeep Pathak, and Saurabh Bhardwaj from AAP, and Mukul Wasnik, Deepak Babaria, and Arvinder Singh Lovely from Congress.

During the conference, Congress leader Mukul Wasnik mentioned ongoing discussions on seat-sharing within the India block, referring to the recent SP-Congress alliance announcement in Lucknow. Emphasizing the shared objective of addressing challenges to Indian democracy, both parties expressed their commitment to contesting the elections together while retaining their respective party symbols. Wasnik noted that despite fighting with separate symbols, their collective goal is to defeat the BJP.

The seat-sharing agreement has been finalized as follows: AAP will contest four seats in Delhi, while Congress will contest three seats, including Chandni Chowk. In Chandigarh and Goa, Congress will field candidates for both Lok Sabha seats. In Haryana, Congress will contest nine seats, and AAP will contest one seat. In Gujarat, AAP will contest two seats, and Congress will contest 24 seats.

Mukul Wasnik also highlighted specific constituencies where each party will field candidates in Delhi and the collaborative strategy to maximize their impact in the upcoming elections.
