At least 400 people were killed and 250 injured in Pakistan's attack on a hospital in Afghanistan where drug users were being treated.
Afghanistan's Taliban government has alleged that Pakistan's latest airstrike targeted a drug rehabilitation hospital in Kabul, killing at least 400 people and injuring about 250 others. However, Pakistan has rejected the allegations, saying no civilian infrastructure was targeted in its attacks.
Zabihullah Mujahid, a spokesman for the Taliban government, said a de-addiction center located in Kabul's Police District 9 was attacked, destroying large parts of the hospital. He said that most of the dead and injured are patients who were admitted for treatment.
Reacting to the incident, Pakistan said it did not target any hospital or civilian facility in Kabul. According to Pakistan, its army only took action on terrorist bases, hours before the alleged airstrike was confirmed to be the death of 4 Afghan civilians in a clash on the border of the two countries. This is believed to be the most serious tension between the two countries in the last three weeks.
