Protests in French cities following the murder of a teenager

People have taken to the streets in cities throughout France overnight in protest over the police shooting of a teenage boy. Videos and photographs show shops being robbed and automobiles being set ablaze, as well as pyrotechnics aimed at police.

At least 150 people have been arrested in protests, according to the minister.

France's interior minister announced in the last half hour that 150 people were arrested after nocturnal protests.

Town halls, schools, and police stations were targeted, according to Gérald Darmanin, in a night of "unbearable violence" across the country.
