Ranthambore’s beloved tigress Arrowhead, known for her grace and dominance, has passed away due to a brain tumour. Her daughter has been relocated to Mukundra Hills to ensure her safety and continuation of the bloodline.
The Ranthambore Tiger Reserve mourns the loss of one of its most iconic tigers — Arrowhead, also known as T-84. She was the daughter of legendary tigress Machli and had ruled her territory with majesty and strength for many years. Her presence had become a symbol of wildlife tourism and conservation success in Rajasthan.
Officials confirmed that Arrowhead had been suffering from health issues for a few weeks before passing away due to complications from a brain tumour. Her death marks the end of a powerful lineage, but efforts are already underway to preserve her legacy.
To ensure the survival of this significant bloodline, Arrowhead’s daughter has been relocated to Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve. This decision was taken by forest officials to provide her with a safe environment where she can thrive away from territorial threats and continue the genetic legacy of Machli and Arrowhead.
Wildlife lovers and conservationists across India have expressed deep sorrow over the loss while appreciating the swift actions taken to safeguard the next generation.
