Tensions erupted in Meerut as a mob brutally assaulted a driver and damaged his vehicle, sparking concern over rising local violence.

 

In a disturbing incident reported from Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut district, a group of individuals physically assaulted a vehicle driver and vandalized his car on a public road. The attack, which occurred during peak hours, quickly drew the attention of bystanders and passersby, some of whom managed to record footage of the incident.

 

According to eyewitnesses, the conflict began after a minor road altercation escalated rapidly. Without warning, the mob surrounded the vehicle, forcefully dragged the driver out, and began attacking him with fists and blunt objects. The assailants also smashed the windows and dented the vehicle extensively before fleeing the scene.

 

Local police were alerted and arrived shortly after the incident. The victim, who sustained multiple injuries, was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities have registered an FIR and are currently reviewing CCTV footage to identify the culprits.

 

This episode has sparked public outrage, with residents demanding swift justice and increased police patrolling in the area. The incident also underscores the growing need to address mob mentality and ensure better public safety mechanisms in urban Uttar
