Chanel Global CEO Leena Nair Honoured with CBE by Prince William

Chanel's Global CEO Leena Nair has been awarded the prestigious Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) by Prince William for her exemplary contribution to business and leadership on a global scale.

Leena Nair, who made history as the first female, first Asian, and youngest ever CEO of Chanel, was honoured at a royal ceremony in the United Kingdom. The CBE is one of the highest-ranking British orders of chivalry and is given to individuals who have made significant contributions to society in the fields of arts, sciences, charity, or public service.

As a former Chief Human Resources Officer at Unilever and a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, Nair’s career spans decades of transformative leadership. Her appointment at Chanel marked a bold shift toward inclusive luxury, combining heritage with innovation.

Her recognition by the British royal family stands as a proud moment for the Indian diaspora and women across the globe, highlighting how leadership rooted in empathy, resilience, and purpose can leave an indelible mark on the world.
