An Air India flight was forced to abort take-off at Delhi airport due to a technical snag, prompting immediate safety protocols and passenger deboarding.

In a concerning incident at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, an Air India aircraft was forced to abort its scheduled take-off after the cockpit crew detected a technical issue moments before liftoff. The flight, which was preparing for departure to a domestic destination, was promptly halted to ensure passenger safety.

According to airline officials, the snag was identified during final checks, leading the pilot to immediately abort take-off and alert ground control. Emergency protocols were activated, and passengers were safely deboarded without any reported injuries.

The airline has confirmed that all necessary procedures were followed, and maintenance teams were dispatched to examine the aircraft. “The decision to abort take-off was taken purely as a precaution. Passenger safety remains our top priority,” stated an Air India spokesperson.

Affected passengers were either accommodated on alternative flights or provided with assistance for rebooking. Meanwhile, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has requested a detailed report on the incident to determine the cause and ensure there are no recurring issues.

This incident adds to a series of recent technical alerts in the aviation sector, reinforcing the need for strict maintenance and timely inspections. Experts continue to highlight the importance of pre-flight diagnostics and crew training in averting potential mid-air em

ergencies.
