The Institutional Women's Premier League 2024 Championship match on Sunday saw Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Delhi Capitals by eight wickets to clinch the title. Batting first, DC were dismissed for 113 runs in 18.3 overs. The weekend crowd that came to support the home team was disappointed as RCB managed to reach the target of 114 with three balls to spare. Before he committed harakiri and lost 10 wickets in just 49 runs, DC were cruising to 64 for no loss in 43 balls with Shafali Verma (44 off 27 balls) in fine form.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) beat Delhi Capitals by eight wickets in the championship match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday behind a total performance that included another strong knock from Ellyse Perry and two outstanding bowling performances from spinners Shreyanka Patil and Sophie Molineux. It was the team's first ever victory in the Women's Premier League (WPL). This is RCB's first ever T20 Championship in Indian Premier League (IPL) and WPL. Chasing 114, RCB got off to a slow start and scored just 18 runs in their opening four overs. Apart from the two boundaries hit by the New Zealand batsman, openers Smriti Mandhana and Sophie Devine did not take many chances.
