In a historic Indian Premier League (IPL) match, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi of the Rajasthan Royals etched his name into cricketing lore by becoming the youngest-ever centurion in the league's history. Against the Gujarat Titans, Suryavanshi played a breathtaking innings, scoring his century in 35 balls—the second quickest in IPL history, only behind Chris Gayle's record of 30 balls. 

Tracing the innings with Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryavanshi showed attacking batting, scoring 101 runs off 38 balls.His knock included 11 sixes and seven fours, with an incredible 94 runs being scored from boundaries. The pair's 166-run stand set the stage for Rajasthan's successful pursuit of Gujarat's 209-run target, which was reached in only 15.5 overs.

Suryavanshi's belligerent style was on display as he scored his half-century in just 17 balls, a new record for the season's fastest fifty.He welcomed experienced bowlers with confidence, including a 30-run over against Afghanistan's Karim Janat and hitting a six from Rashid Khan to complete his century.

He was the youngest player to receive an IPL contract at the age of 13, with Rajasthan Royals signing him for ₹1.10 crore. His cricketing talent was apparent since childhood, and he scored 58-ball century against Australia for India Under-19 and a triple century in a domestic Bihar tournament.
