Sandeep Murarka was born on 12 February 1978 in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Sandeep Murarka was married to Savita Murarka on 14 December 2004. They have a child named Pushkar Murarka.

His data reveal a notable increase in Padma awards granted to indigenous folks during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's administration. From 1954 to 2014, merely 62 Padma awards were awarded to tribal individuals, however 85 awards were bestowed between 2015 and 2024, averaging eight awards annually.
