With Ambedkar's VBA, Mahavikas Aghadi Ascends, While India Alliance Nears Collapse

Mumbai: Prakash Ambedkar, the president of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, participated in the Maha Vikas Aghadi meeting in Mumbai today, addressing the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Following the meeting, Ambedkar declared the end of the India Alliance in the country. Notably, this announcement was made in the presence of Nana Patole and Sanjay Raut. Ambedkar emphasized his commitment to preventing the Mahavikas Aghadi in the state from mirroring the fate of the dissolved India Aghadi.

The meeting, held at Trident Hotel in Mumbai, saw the participation of Prakash Ambedkar and Rekha Thakur from Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, along with key figures like Nana Patole of Congress, Balasaheb Thorat, Varsha Gaikwad, Ashok Chavan, Jayant Patil of the Nationalist Congress Party, Jitendra Awad, Sanjay Raut of Shiv Sena Thackeray Group, and others.

Regarding the meeting's discussions, Prakash Ambedkar outlined that the next stage would involve deliberations on seat allocations within the alliance. In the initial phase, today's discussions focused on establishing a common minimum program. Specific points were addressed, and the remaining ones are slated for future consideration. Ambedkar clarified that seat allocations would be discussed only after finalizing the Aghadi's common minimum program.

Reflecting on the national scenario, Ambedkar noted the demise of the India Alliance, citing diverse approaches from leaders like Nitish Kumar, AAP, and Mamata Banerjee. While the Samajwadi Party has announced candidates for 16 seats, Ambedkar expressed confidence in ensuring that the Mahavikas Aghadi avoids succumbing to a fate similar to that of the dissolved India Alliance.
