In India's multiparty system, the two major parties are the Indian National Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party. Prime Minister of India since 2014 is Narendra Modi. 17th Lok Sabha is expected to adjourn in June 2024. India is home to eighty Lok Sabha constituencies. That is in excess of any other jurisdiction. 62 Lok  Sabha seats were gained by the BJP in the 2019 elections. Two seats were gained by the BJP. Two seats, Azamgarh and Rampur, were obtained by the BJP in the by-elections. In aggregate, the NDA secured 66 seats. Ten seats were won by the BSP, while the SP secured five. The SP currently holds a mere three Lok Sabha seats. One seat was gained by the Congress.

The Lok Sabha election is approaching near. The entire country is focused on Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh accounts for 80 of the state's 543 Lok Sabha seats. It is stated that the road to Delhi goes via Uttar Pradesh. In reality, the party that wins the most Lok Sabha seats has an easier time gaining power in the country. The BJP, BSP, SP, and Congress have all fielded candidates for each seat. Rajnath Singh, the Union Home Minister, is running for office from Lucknow. Former Minister Ravidas Mehrotra has been fielded by the SP to challenge him. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will run for office from Varanasi for the third time in a row. Ravi Kishan, a Bhojpuri celebrity, is running for Lok Sabha from the Gorakhpur constituency on behalf of the BJP. The SP has also enlisted Bhojpuri actress Kajal Nishad. Sanjeev Balyan has been handed a ticket from Muzaffarnagar, an important seat in western Uttar Pradesh.. Harendra Malik has been named by the SP to face him.
