Sitapur Election Result Highlights: Rakesh Rathor, candidate of the Indian National Congress won the Sitapur constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections by 5,31,138 votes. BJP's Rajesh Verma lost the election by a margin of by 89,641 votes.

 

In Sitapur Constituency 2024 Lok Sabha Election Results, Rakesh Rathor, candidate of the Indian National Congress defeated BJP's Rajesh Verma, who received 4,41,497 votes.

Sitapur is an assembly constituency in Uttar Pradesh. Sitapur district is a part of Lucknow division. It covers an area of 5,743 sq km.According to historians, King Vikramaditya named Sitapur after Sita, the wife of Lord Rama. Sage Ved Vyas has written a lot on the land of Sitapur. The district is mainly known for its cotton and woollen rivers. It is famous not only in the country but also abroad. Sitapur's contribution has also been in the social, historical, political and literary field in the country.

 

Lok Sabha elections 2019: BJP's Rajesh Verma won by 5,14,528 votes, BSP's Nakul Dubey came second with 4,13,695 votes and Congress' Kaiser Jahan came third with 96,018 votes.
