The Shekhawati region of Rajasthan has been a Congress stronghold since the beginning. But in the Modi wave of 2014, the BJP broke this myth and demolished this strong fort of the Congress. Sikar Lok Sabha constituency number 5 is a general seat which is made up of Sikar and part of Jaipur. The Jat-dominated Sikar district of Shekhawati is known as the soldiers' district in the state. Sikar also has a distinct identity because this area has been used by all political parties to give a big message in the Jat politics of the country.
