Shambhavi of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) won the Samastipur constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections with 579,786 votes, defeating Sunny Hazari of the Indian National Congress by 187,251 votes.

In Samastipur Constituency 2024 Lok Sabha Election Results, Shambhavi of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) is declared the winner, securing 579786 votes and surpassing Sunny Hazari of the Indian National Congress by 187251 votes.

Samastipur, a district and parliamentary constituency in Bihar, was established in 1972 after separating from Darbhanga. According to the 2011 census, the total population of Samastipur district is 4,254,782.

 

Karpoori Thakur, a former Chief Minister of Bihar, won the election from this constituency on a Janata Party ticket in 1977, marking the first time the Congress party lost in the area amidst the prevailing anti-Congress sentiment nationwide. In the 2019 elections, LJP's Prince Raj emerged victorious with 390,276 votes, while Congress's Ashok Kumar secured 288,186 votes.
