Mohan Yadav, The New Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh

Updates on the CM announcement for Madhya Pradesh: Mohan Yadav, a three-time MLA, is the incoming chief minister of Madhya Pradesh.

Mohan Yadav, The New Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh

From the Ujjain district's Dakshin constituency, Mohan Yadav represents the state of Madhya Pradesh in the Legislative Assembly. Under Shivraj Singh Chouhan's administration, Mohan Yadav served as minister of higher education.

Mohan Yadav is a member of the other underprivileged group. The BJP intends to court the OBC population, which makes up more than half of Madhya Pradesh's electorate, with his appointment.

The decision to elect Mohan Yadav as the new CM for MP ended the two-decade primacy of Shivraj Singh Chauhan.

This came as surprise to Mohan Yadav who is a son of a tea seller. While being seated in the third row behind the Haryana CM and other central observers could not believe the decision and was out of words for a few minutes.

The key element as being elected as the new CM is his last name. A top party leader stated that, with an eye toward the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Narendra Modi and Amit Shah most likely selected Mohan Yadav to court the voters in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.

One of the two Central observers overseeing the MP Assembly election was Union minister Bhupender Yadav, who made the identification of Yadav. Essentially, this would be a two-for-one deal. As the chief minister, we have an OBC, which is a powerful community that might help us do better in the general election the next year, stated a different BJP politician.

However, on Tuesday The Congress attacked BJP for its decision to select Yadav as the new CM, as there are a number of allegations towards him including ‘large scale manipulation’, in the Ujjain Masterplan. There are many social media videos of Yadav where he is seen abusing, threatening and making objectionable statements towards others.

Whether the choice of electing Mohan Yadav  going to benefit India or not ,that only time will tell.
