New Delhi: A Delhi-based IAS officer has been discovered soliciting money from a liquor vendor under the pretext of representing Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. In response to this incident, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has instructed the filing of an FIR against the officer. Additionally, the Home Ministry has been advised to initiate disciplinary proceedings against the said officer. The officer's involvement has been confirmed through the verification of an audio recording by the FSL. This case sheds light on the unusual occurrence of an IAS officer seeking funds from a liquor seller in the guise of being associated with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Following the revelation of the incident, Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has taken decisive action by directing the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) against the involved IAS officer. The officer in question, identified as Amarnath Talwade, is alleged to have demanded money from a liquor seller under the pretext of representing Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Notably, the Lieutenant Governor has gone a step further by advising the Home Ministry to initiate disciplinary measures against Officer Talwade.

A significant aspect of this case is the validation of the audio recording by the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), which conclusively establishes the officer's complicity in the act. This concrete evidence adds weight to the seriousness of the allegations and underscores the need for a thorough investigation and appropriate action against the implicated IAS officer. The incident has raised concerns about ethical conduct within the bureaucratic ranks, prompting authorities to address the matter promptly and transparently.
