Kota is a Lok Sabha constituency in South East Rajasthan region of Rajasthan in North India. It is located on the banks of the Chambal River, about 240 kilometres (149 mi) south of the state capital, Jaipur. The city has a population of over 1.2 million. It is the third most populous city in Rajasthan after Jaipur and Jodhpur. Also, it is the 46th most populous city in India. It is the administrative headquarters of Kota district and Kota division.
