In the Karakat Constituency 2024 Lok Sabha Election Results, Raja Ram Singh of the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) (Liberation) is declared the winner, securing 380581 votes and surpassing Pawan Singh who stood independently by 105858 votes.

The Karakat Lok Sabha constituency, located in Bihar's Rohtas district, predominantly features a rural population, with 88.87% living in rural areas according to the 2011 census. This region faces several socio-economic challenges, such as agricultural underdevelopment, educational deficiencies, and inadequate health and legal services. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, JD(U)'s Mahabali Singh defeated RJD's Upendra Kushwaha, reversing the 2014 outcome where Kushwaha had triumphed over Singh.
