SP's Akhilesh Yadav Wins by 1,70,922 Votes and received total 6,42,292 votes. SP's Akhilesh Yadav defeated BJP's Subrat Pathak, who received 4,71,3700 votes.

Kannauj Election Result Highlights: Akhilesh Yadav, candidate of the Samajwadi Party won the Kannauj constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections by 6,42,292 votes. BJP's Subrat Pathak lost the election by a margin of by 1,70,922 votes.

 

In Kannauj Constituency 2024 Lok Sabha Election Results, Akhilesh Yadav, candidate of the Samajwadi Party defeat BJP's Subrat Pathak, who received 4,71,370 votes.

Kannauj is an administrative district in the state of Uttar Pradesh on the banks of the river Ganga. It is a historical city located in the north-west of Kanpur. The district was carved out of Farrukhabad district on September 18, 1997. According to the 2011 census, Kannauj district has a population of 1,656,616. The native language of this district is Kannauji. Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh is known as the city of perfumes as well as politically across the country. The Kannauj Lok Sabha seat is made up of five assembly segments spread across three districts. The Kannauj district has three assembly constituencies - Kannauj, Tirwa and Chhibramau. Kannauj is part of the Kannauj Lok Sabha constituency along with Rasulabad in Kanpur Dehat and Bidhuna in Auraiya district.

 

Lok Sabha elections 2019: In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP candidate Subrat Pathak won the Kannauj seat by defeating SP's Dimple Yadav by a margin of 5,63,087 votes. Dimple Yadav came second with 5,50,734 votes and independent candidate Pratyush Pathak came third with 3,883 votes. In Kannauj Lok Sabha seat, 59 per cent polling was recorded.
