In Sitamarhi Constituency 2024 Lok Sabha Election Results, Devesh Chandra Thakur of the Janata Dal (United) is declared the winner, securing 515719 votes and surpassing Arjun Ray of the Rashtriya Janata Dal by 51356 votes.

Sitamarhi, a district in the Tirhut division of Bihar, is a significant city in the Mithila region. Located on the banks of the Lakhandei River, it became part of Muzaffarpur district in 1908 and was established as a separate district in 1972.

 

In 2019, the RLSP joined the grand alliance with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress. Since India's independence, Sitamarhi's voters have consistently favored change. In the 2019 elections, Sunil Kumar Pintu of JD(U) won with 567,745 votes, followed by Arjun Rai of RJD with 317,206 votes.
