Barabanki Constituency Lok Sabha Election Results 2024

Indian National Congress candidate Tanuj Punia won against BJP's Rajrani Rawat. Congress candidate Tanuj Punia got a total of 7,19,927 votes. BJP's Rajrani Rawat got 5,04,223 votes. Indian National Congress candidate Tanuj Punia won the seat by 2,15,694 votes.

Barabanki Election Result Highlights: Tanuj Punia, candidate of the Indian National Congress party won the Barabanki constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections by 7,19,927 votes. BJP's Rajrani Rawat lost the election by a margin of 2,15,694 votes.

Barabanki is a Lok Sabha / Parliamentary constituency in North Uttar Pradesh region of Uttar Pradesh in East India. It is a major town in the Ayodhya division. It is located at a distance of 29 km from Lucknow, the capital of UP. There are 22,16,172 voters in the Barabanki Lok Sabha seat. Of these, 48,934 young voters will cast their votes for the first time. This includes 11 lakh men, 10 lakh women and 71 third gender voters. Barabanki has 76 per cent Hindu population and 22 per cent Muslim population. Barabanki Lok Sabha constituency comprises five assembly segments. The reserved seats are Kursi, Zaidpur, Ramnagar, Haidergarh and Barabanki.

 

Lok Sabha elections2019: In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP candidate Upendra Singh Rawat won from this seat, he got 5,35,594 votes. SP's Ram Sagar Rawat came second with 4,25,624 votes, while Congress' Tanuj Punia came third with 1,59,575 votes. The Barabanki Lok Sabha seat recorded 63.82 per cent polling.
