Adebayo Adeleke: From Army Major to Supply Chain Leader and Social Entrepreneur

Adebayo Temitope Adeleke (better known Adebayo Adeleke) is a retired U.S. Army Major, leveraged his military experience into a successful career in supply chain management and logistics. Adebayo is a member of the New American Economy, a bipartisan organization that promotes immigration reform.

Adebayo Temitope Adeleke (better known Adebayo Adeleke) is a man of many accomplishments. A retired U.S. Army Major, Adeleke leveraged his military experience into a successful career in supply chain management and logistics. But his ambitions extend far beyond the corporate world. A social entrepreneur and global thought leader, Adeleke is dedicated to using his expertise to empower others and improve the world.


Adebayo is also a distinguished member of the bipartisan New American Economy, a coalition of business leaders and Mayors launched by Michael Bloomberg and Rupert Murdoch to influence policymakers and public opinion towards comprehensive immigration reforms. 


Adebayo Adeleke was born on September 22, 1980 in Ilesa, Nigeria to a family of eight. He attended Seventh Day Adventist Nursery and Primary School, Ile-Ife for his elementary education. For his high school education, he attended Seventh Day Adventist Grammar School Ile-Ife and School of Science Ile-Ife.

 

He is skilled in preparing military leaders to become well-equipped because he served in the US Army. He is knowledgeable about the strategic, operational, and tactical implications. The African Report, London Business School, and other publications have published his policy papers on security and other topics.


Upon completion of his high school education, Adebayo went to Adventist Seminary of West Africa (ASWA), Ilisan-Remo, Nigeria which later became Babcock University. Adebayo left ASWA in 1998 and migrated to the US to join the US Army. 


Adebayo completed his bachelor’s degree while on active duty at the University of Maryland, University College Asia in 2003/2004 when he was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He also completed Master’s degrees from Webster University, St Louis, Missouri where he secured a  Masters in Procurement and Acquisition Management. He also completed Master’s degree in University of San Diego, San Diego, California where he obtained master’s in supply chain management. He recently completed master’s in public administration with emphasis from Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Adebayo is also a graduate of Command and General Staff College. 


Professional Certifications and Affiliations


Adebayo is a fellow of Royal Society of Arts and as well as fellow of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) UK. He is a Certified Professional in Supply Management by Institute of Supply Management (ISM). He is also a Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) by Supply Chain Management Association of Canada(SCMA). Additionally, Adebayo is Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) by National Contract Management Association (NCMA)

 

A Distinguished Military Career

 

Details about Adeleke's specific service history are not publicly available. However, we know that he served for 20 years in the U.S. Army, reaching the rank of Major. This tenure undoubtedly instilled in him the discipline, leadership skills, and strategic thinking that are crucial for success in both the military and the business world.

 

In October 2002, Adebayo was offered provisional admission to the University of North Carolina to study Medicine but choose to stay in the Army. He was later assigned to the island of Okinawa, where he worked as a Property Book Officer Non-Commissioned Officer-In-Charge and Property Book Office Warehouse Non-Commissioned Officer-In-Charge, 1st Battalion, 1st Special Force Group, (Airborne) Okinawa, Japan.

 

Upon competition of his task in Japan, Adebayo moved back to the U.S and compted a course in Officer Candidate School (OCS) at Fort Benning, Georgia. After this course, Adebayo continued to rise through the ranks and later retired as the Battalion Operations Officer, Mission and Installation Contracting Command-Hood, Texas as well as the Deputy Chief, Business Operations at Mission and Installation Contracting Command-Fort Hood.

 

Supply Chain Expertise and Business Acumen

After retiring from the military, Adeleke transitioned his skills to the private sector. He established himself as a sought-after consultant and leader in supply chain management. Adebayo currently holds multiple positions including Managing Partner at Pantote Solutions LLC and CEO of Adebayo Adeleke LLC. He is a Senior Supply Chain Consultant for Epot Consulting Limitedalso and lends his expertise as a lecturer at Sam Houston State University.


Upon retirement, Adebayo started series of businesses which picked his interests. Pantote Solutions LLC is one of the businesses and is his primary business. Pantote Solutions LLC is advisory and consulting startup company in the area of supply chain as well as leadership. The company also does a lot of professional development and training in area of leadership and supply chain management. Lastly, the company ventures into research in areas of future of supply chain as well as impact of human and social interaction in areas of supply chain management. Adebayo also picked up lecturer position as Sam Houston State University where he teaches in area of management.


Adebayo passion has also been given back. He founded Rising Leadership Foundation (RLF) from the conviction he has in his global travel that leadership and governance gap has to be bridged for underserved communities to be relevant.

 

A Passion for Social Impact

Adeleke's influence extends far beyond the boardroom. He is a strong advocate for immigrants and a champion for diversity and inclusion.  He is a member of the New American Economy, a bipartisan organization that promotes immigration reform. 

 

His unwavering desire to professionally mentor and guide African immigrants led him to start the Rising Leadership Foundation, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to improving leadership and governance in underserved communities. The organization seeks to transform governance and leadership using technology and mentoring in the Inner cities of Texas, African Immigrant communities and the continent of Africa.

Adebayo is married Modupeore Adeleke in 2002 and they are blessed with a set of twins Folahanmi and Folabomi Adeleke and another baby girl Chloe Adeleke.
