On February 3, 2024, Budaun: A shocking incident has come to light in Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh, where the dead body of a junior female judge has been found. The body of woman judge Jyotsna Rai was found hanging under suspicious circumstances in the judge's quarter near the registry office of Civil Line police station area. The body was in a room of his residence. The police broke the door and took out the body. The police have also got some evidence, which the police is investigating. Jyotsna Rai was unmarried and used to live alone in her quarter. On receiving information about the incident, top police officials reached the spot and started investigating the matter.


Actually, the whole matter is about the Judges Quarters built near the Registry Office. Jyotsna Rai, resident of Mau district, was working here as Civil Judge Junior Division. Forensic team has also been called for investigation on the spot. Information about his death has been given to his family members in Lucknow. The family has left for Badaun from Lucknow. After getting information about the incident, SP City and SP also reached the spot. Police and forensic team are engaged in investigating the case. The mobile phone of the female judge has also been taken into custody by the police and investigation into the cause of death has been started.


After completing the Panchnama of the body, it is being sent for post-mortem. It is said that the relatives of the deceased live in Lucknow, who have been informed about the incident. After the incident, the District Bar Association held a condolence meeting and called upon the lawyers to abstain from all judicial work today. DM Badaun Manoj Kumar also reached the spot and collected information about the incident. On the matter of recovery of the dead body of the lady judge, SP Alok Priyadarshi says that this morning the police received information that the lady judge was not opening the door of her residence in the Kotwali police station area.


He said, 'She did not even reach the court on time. His friends also called him and when he did not answer the call, they informed the police. The police reached the spot and broke the door and when they went inside, they found a woman hanging from the fan in the room adjacent to the bedroom, whose dead body was found. The police have taken the body into their custody and started their action. Some documents have also been recovered from the spot, which throw light on the incident, the matter is being investigated. Whatever other facts emerge in this, the police will take action accordingly.
