Karan Johar Announces Sequel to Hit Film Dhadak

Renowned filmmaker Karan Johar has officially announced the sequel to his 2018 hit film, Dhadak. Titled Dhadak 2, the new film will feature Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri in the lead roles. Johar’s announcement has generated significant buzz in the industry, with fans eagerly awaiting the next chapter in this compelling story.

Dhadak, which starred Ishaan Khattar and Janhvi Kapoor, marked the debut of both actors and became a significant success at the box office. Released in 2018, the film was a remake of the Marathi blockbuster Sairaat, which was the first Marathi film to earn over 100 crore rupees. Dhadak managed to capture the hearts of audiences with its intense storyline and powerful performances, paving the way for its upcoming sequel.

Dhadak 2 will be directed by Shazia Iqbal, a rising talent in the industry, and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Iqbal’s direction is anticipated to bring a fresh perspective to the sequel while maintaining the emotional depth and drama that made the original so popular.

With Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri stepping into the lead roles, expectations are high for Dhadak 2. Chaturvedi has made a name for himself with standout performances in films like Gully Boy, while Dimri has been praised for her roles in Laila Majnu and Bulbbul. Their pairing is seen as an exciting new chapter for the franchise.

As the anticipation builds, fans and critics alike are keen to see how Dhadak 2 will unfold. With a talented cast and crew, the sequel promises to continue the legacy of its predecessor while offering a new and compelling story for audiences to enjoy.
