In a shocking turn of events, director Faruk Kabir’s estranged wife, Sanam, and her mother, Dilfuza, along with her stepfather, Tejas Khanna, were apprehended by Versova police for attempting to steal Kabir’s newborn daughter.
The acclaimed Bollywood filmmaker, known for his works like “Khuda Hafiz” and its sequel, found himself at the center of a distressing situation when his wife and in-laws allegedly tried to flee the country with his infant daughter. Kabir took immediate action by filing a First Information Report (FIR) on December 21, 2023, at the Versova Mumbai Police Station, detailing the abduction attempt.
The swift response from the police ensured the safety of the newborn. Acting promptly upon receiving the complaint, Versova police intercepted the culprits, absconding with the infant, and took them into custody. The authorities have not disclosed the motive behind the abduction attempt.
