About Iván Chávez
Iván Chávez was born on 16 July 1985 in Guadalajara, Mexico. His father Daniel Chávez Morán is the founder of Grupo Vidanta. Chavez graduated from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics degree. He also received a double major in real estate development and entrepreneurship from the same institution.

 

In 2007, Iván Chavez became a member of the Vidanta Group. Chavez has been in charge of the launch of Vidanta's Grand Luxxe series of ultra-luxury resorts ever since he joined Grupo Vidanta. These resorts are the recipients of the AAA Five Diamond Award, and they are also the locations of the 80-minute long resident show "Joyà", which was organized in partnership with Cirque du Soleil, which is a Canadian entertainment company and the largest contemporary circus producer in the world.

 

Iván Chavez and his wife, Allison Young, established Sweet Paris, a network of crepe restaurants on the state of Texas. In the year 2012, Houston became the location of the first Sweet Paris Crêperie.
