Bishop Dominic Abreo, the first Bishop of Aurangabad, was a priest, teacher, and social reformer from Vasai. He gave farmers, women, and the poor more power through new welfare and educational programs. He was a master of Marathi and the first editor of Suvarta. He wrote about social, political, and interfaith issues.
