Daredevil Attempt at Scaling Skyscraper Lands Man in Custody

A man in Buenos Aires, Argentina, has been arrested after attempting to scale a 30-story building without any safety ropes. Nicknamed the "Polish Spider-Man," 36-year-old Marcin Banot was apprehended by firefighters after reaching the 25th floor of the Globant building.

The incident sparked a response from emergency services after a concerned building occupant called the authorities. Onlookers below watched in disbelief as firefighters arrived on the scene, along with over 30 firetrucks and ambulances.

Banot, who was clad in an Argentine football jersey, reportedly cooperated with firefighters who brought him down safely. However, his daring stunt landed him in police custody. Officials are considering charging him for the cost of the rescue operation.

This wasn't Banot's first attempt at such a feat. News reports indicate he'd tried to climb the same building just the week before but was stopped by police. He also has a history of similar stunts in other countries, garnering a social media following in the process.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of attempting such reckless climbs. While Banot may have aspired to be a real-life web-slinger, his actions put himself and emergency personnel at unnecessary risk.
