India vs South Africa the two unbeaten teams of the tournament will compete against each other in the T20 World Cup on Saturday in Barbados

India vs South Africa, the Final showdown

On Saturday, June 29, 2024, India and South Africa will go against each other in the T20 World Cup Final at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, in Barbados. Both teams have played exceptionally well and haven’t lost a single match in the whole tournament.

 

India is ranked the number one team in the T20 world rankings and last won an ICC World Cup title in 2011. The team is headed by Rohit Sharma and coached by former cricketer Rahul Dravid. The India squad has Rohit Sharma (C), Hardik Pandya (VC), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, Mohammad Siraj, and Yuzvendra Chahal.

 

India has won all the group-stage matches against Ireland, Pakistan, and the USA. In the Super Eight, they swiftly defeated Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Australia. In the semis, they won against England by 68 runs.

 

South Africa, which is ranked fifth in the T20 world rankings, has also played exceptionally well in the tournament, not losing a single match. South Africa will play their first World Cup final. The team is headed by Aiden Markram and coached by Rob Walter. The South Africa squad has Aiden Markram (C), Keshav Maharaj (VC), Ottniel Baartman, Gerald Coetzee, Quinton de Kock, Bjorn Fortuin, Reeza Hendricks, Marco Jansen, Heinrich Klaasen, David Miller, Anrich Nortje, Kagiso Rabada, Ryan Rickelton, Tabraiz Shamsi, and Tristan Stubbs.

 

South Africa has won all the group-stage matches against Sri Lanka, Netherlands, Bangladesh and Nepal. In the Super Eight, they also defeated the West Indies, the USA, and England. In the semi-final, they performed brilliantly by defeating Afghanistan by nine wickets.

 

The World Cup final will be a nail-biting battle between the two most talented teams in the tournament for the championship title.
