Chennai Lions’ advantage increased as Sakura Mori beat O’Ravan Balanan 2-1 in the first women’s match. Mori, despite being repeatedly outplayed by her opponents, showed her strength under pressure and continued to control the game. Although the Japanese won the first two races, the Thai rowers changed their strategy in the third race to make up for the disadvantage in the Dabang Delhi TTC. Sarath and Mori defeated Sathiyan Gnanasekaran and Paranang of Dabang Delhi TTC 2-1. In the next match, local boy Sathiyan lost 2-1 to Joules Rolland, leaving the home team with a draw. Diyale Chitale created history in her last match. The Mumbai girl, who has spent her entire life watching IndianOil UTT from the stands, won her first title the following year. Poymantee Baisya lost to her 3-0. Rowland won the DafaNews Tie-Off award, while Morrie of Chennai Lions won the overseas award.
