Aam Aadmi Party candidate Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal wins by 44,111 votes and received total 3,03,859 votes. Aam Aadmi Party candidate Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal defeated INC candidate Yamini Gomar, who received 2,59,748 votes.

Hoshiarpur Election Result Highlights: Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal, candidate of the Aam Aadmi Party won the Hoshiarpur, Punjab Constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections by 3,03,859 votes. INC candidate Yamini Gomar lost the election by a margin of by 44,111 votes. 

 

In Hoshiarpur 2024 Lok Sabha Election Results, Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal, candidate of the Aam Aadmi Party defeated INC candidate Yamini Gomar, who received 2,59,748 votes.

Hoshiarpur is associated with the Mahabharata period. It is said that 5,000 years ago, a ruler of the Pandava dynasty performed a yagna in which all the serpents of the world were sacrificed. There are 7,62,065 male and 7,23,221 female voters in Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha constituency. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, a total of 9,61,297 votes were cast. Hoshiarpur is an assembly constituency in Punjab. It covers the districts of Hoshiarpur, Gurdaspur and Kapurthala. There are 9 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state. These seats are Hoshiarpur, Chabbewal, Shamchaurasi, Udmur, Dasuya, Mukerian, Phagwara, Bholath and Sri Hargobindpur. According to the 2011 census data, the population of Hoshiarpur was around 16 lakh and there were 469 people per square kilometre. The literacy rate of Hoshiarpur was 84.59 per cent, of which male literacy was 88.75 per cent and female literacy was 80.31 per cent.

 

Lok Sabha elections 2019: The BJP has fielded Som Parkash from the Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha seat, while the Congress has fielded Rajkumar Chabbewal. Ravjot Singh of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was also in the fray. There were a total of eight candidates in the fray for the Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha seat.
