Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone stole the show at Cartier's celebrity-studded party in Stockholm, Sweden, wearing an eye-popping red outfit that left onlookers agog and causing a buzz among the fashion fraternity.

Deepika embraced the theme in her attire at the unveiling of Cartier's latest high jewellery collection, En Équilibre. She appeared in an eye-catching Ashi Studio Fall 2023 creation—a strapless blood-red gown covered in a floor-sweeping mohair robe. The ensemble featured a boat-shaped neckline, long sleeves, an exaggerated flap detail on the bust, and a show-stopping train, exuding poise and drama.

To finish her look, Deepika accessorised with Cartier's En Équilibre Pavocelle necklace. The breathtaking piece boasts a 58.08-carat cabochon sapphire, which looks similar to the peacock's beautiful tail, and is surrounded by glittering diamonds. A touch of sparkle was introduced to her look through delicate diamond earrings.

Celebrity stylist Shaleena Nathani styled Deepika's hair with a side parting and sleeked it back, while her makeup consisted of glittery nude eyeshadow, feathered brows, rosy cheeks, shiny nude brown lipstick, and subtle contouring, bringing out the best in her.

Posting photos of the event on Instagram with the caption "Hej (Hi) from Stockholm," Deepika found herself showered with praise from fans and celebrities. Social media influencer Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, posted, "Looking superior." Another admirer commented, "This is what you call an outfit! You were missed at Cannes. Not every reaction was positive though. Some netizens compared Deepika's appearance with Aishwarya Rai's previous looks, with one person saying, "Why is Deepika becoming a second Aishwarya?"

During all the controversy surrounding her visit, Deepika's appearance at the Cartier gala also comes in the wake of her recently announced exit from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's upcoming film, Spirit. While she hasn't made any such comments officially, her composed attendance at the gala seems to suggest that she values her international ambassadorial commitments and fashion endeavors over anything else.
