Jathara 2024 Film is directed by filmmaker Sathish Babu Ratakonda, who also stars in the film and contributed to its writing. Jathara film is set to be released on 8 November 2024, Jathara blends elements of folklore and social drama. Set in a rural 19th-century Indian village, the story follows the divine and earthly struggles involving the goddess Gangamma, a powerful figure in local mythology. The plot delves into complex themes like betrayal, vengeance, and the interplay between human ambition and divine intervention​.

The film's main cast involved Sathish Babu Ratakonda as dual role Paleti, Chalapathi's father and Chalapathi, Paleti's son, R.K Pinnapala as Gangireddy, Deeya Raj as Venkatalacchimi, Gopal Reddy as Bramhanna, Galla Manjunath as Changalrayudu, Madhiuvantha Boyapati as Redoramma, Ramu Galla as Venkataramudu, Banu Prakash as Dora, Mahaboob Basha as Talari, Sai Vikranth as Kona, Chinnareddy as Bujji and Srinivasulu Reddy as Chinabba. 

Music of the film is composed by Sreejith Edavana while the cinematography of the film is done by KV Prasad, The action sequences were choreographed by the action director Rajesh Lakna and editing by Mahendranath.

The film officially commenced in February 2023, with principal photography beginning in September 2023. Filming occurred intermittently over five months due to substantial rainfall and concluded by late February 2024. The film was entirely set and filmed in Nellimanda, Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh. The film's cinematography was executed by KV Prasad, the score was composed by Sreejith Edavana, the action sequences were choreographed by action director Rajesh Lakna, and the editing was performed by Mahendranath.

The visual effects were managed by Movieteck LLC, a US-based visual effects studio. Given the film's significant reliance on visual effects, Movieteck recruited artists from India and internationally, particularly from the UK and the Middle East. The entire crew conducted considerable study to enhance the visual representation of the teaser and the lead's appearance in specialized apparel, effectively integrating genuine elements with certain sequences that require a realistic and natural aesthetic.

Jathara was originally slated for release on 15 August 2024, but was delayed due to incomplete post-production tasks. Now the film is scheduled for release on 8 November 2024 in normal, IMAX, 3D, and 4DX formats. The initial poster for the film was unveiled on 9 August 2024.

Visually, Jathara has been noted for its authentic portrayal of rural India, with meticulous attention to costume and setting, enhancing the folklore aspect of the film. The music by Sreejith Edavana, marking his debut in Telugu cinema, incorporates traditional folk sounds, including the Burra katha—a form of storytelling native to Andhra Pradesh. This score is expected to add depth to the film's immersive cultural narrative​.
