Creative Differences Lead to Shelving of Mohit Suri’s ‘Psycho’ Starring Akshay Kumar

Uncharted Waters of Filmmaking: Rohit Shetty Drops the Curtain on Mohit Suri’s ‘Psycho’ as Creative Waves Collide, Leaving Akshay Kumar’s Cinematic Odyssey in Uncertain Depths

Creative Differences Lead to Shelving of Mohit Suri’s ‘Psycho’ Starring Akshay Kumar

In a surprising turn of events, Mohit Suri’s much-anticipated film ‘Psycho,’ featuring Akshay Kumar in the lead, has been shelved due to creative differences. The film, announced by Suri in December 2023, was set to be produced by Rohit Shetty, but it seems the trio couldn’t align their visions for the project.

While Mohit Suri and Akshay Kumar were reportedly on the same page regarding the film, Rohit Shetty expressed dissatisfaction with the script. According to sources, Shetty felt that the script lacked the commercial elements he deems essential for a successful Bollywood venture.

This decision comes after multiple discussions between the director and the producer yielded zero results. Mohit Suri, known for his unique storytelling, was set to direct the film, bringing his distinctive touch to the psychological thriller genre. However, the clash of creative visions seems to have put a halt to the collaboration.

The film marked another attempt for Mohit Suri and Akshay Kumar to collaborate since they began exploring projects together in 2018. Unfortunately, despite their shared enthusiasm, the stars have struggled to align for a project that satisfies both parties.

As of now, ‘Psycho’ has been shelved, leaving fans disappointed and eager to see if the trio can reconcile their creative differences and revive the project in future.
