The much-anticipated wedding of Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Mukesh and Nita Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, the daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant, started on July 12, 2024, at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. The wedding rituals will be a three-day affair, heralded as one of the most extravagant weddings of the year, and will be attended by global dignitaries, celebrities, and business magnates.

On July 12, the Lagna Vidhi and Varmala ceremony took place. It was attended by American influencer Kim Kardashian and his sister Khloe Kardashian, John Cena, former UK PM Tony Blair, Samsung CEO, and many other global stars, politicians, celebrities, and business tycoons.

The wedding festivities kicked off with a sangeet ceremony that saw electrifying performances by renowned artists and global popstar Justin Bieber. The Sangeet, a pre-wedding musical night, was a star-studded event with Bollywood's elite in attendance, showcasing their dance moves and adding to the vibrant atmosphere. After the sangeet ceremony, the pre-wedding festivities continue with the mehendi, haldi, and Shiv Sakti puja.

The Ambani family's Antilia residence and the Jio World Convention Centre were adorned with lavish decorations, reflecting the grandeur of the occasion. Following the wedding, a grand reception will be held, termed the 'Mangal Utsav'. This event’s dress code will be  "Indian chic" and include performances by various artists, as well as a sumptuous feast that highlights the best of Indian and international cuisine.

Anant and Radhika’s journey to this grand celebration began with their engagement in January 2023, marked by a traditional Gol Dhana ceremony in Mumbai. Since then, their union has been celebrated with a series of events that highlight the convergence of tradition and modernity, much like the wedding itself​.
