No job in Uttar Pradesh, a test of trust.
Government jobs in Uttar Pradesh are no longer just a means of employment but have become a tough test of the patience and mental state of the youth; every year, lakhs of students work hard, fill out forms, and prepare with the hope that something good will happen this time.
However most of the time, the story stops there, with paper leaks, exam cancellations, and then lengthy investigations. Now all this does not seem to be a coincidence; again and again, the same mistake points to the fact that there is a major flaw in the system somewhere.
At the same time, the ED investigation has revealed that the accused leaked the question papers of the recruitment examinations before the examination and made them available to the candidates. In return, a huge amount of money was extorted, which was later tried to be hidden by moving into separate accounts, cash transactions, and investments in properties.
The same amount was revealed in the ED's investigation as 'Proceeds of Crime. Properties worth Rs 1.02 crore have already been attached. In the follow-up investigation, the ED has already attached assets worth Rs 1.02 crore. These include plots, flats, bank accounts, and vehicles. The investigating agency says that all these properties were purchased with illegal earnings from paper leaks.
The attachment has been validated in the judicial process. The network extends to Haryana and Madhya Pradesh. The ED investigation also revealed that before the examination, the candidates were accommodated in the resorts of Manesar in Haryana and Rewa in Madhya Pradesh.
Here they were made to rote the leaked question papers and answers. After this, they were taken to the examination centers under the fixed strategy. A paper leak network spread across three states.
The investigation so far by the ED and the investigating agencies has revealed that the network of Uttar Pradesh constable recruitment and RO/ARO paper leak was not limited to just one state. This organized gang was actively operating in at least three states.
Because in the last year, there have been at least four to five major recruitment exams in UP, for which candidates had to reappear or were cancelled and conducted again.
The UPPSC RO-ARO exam for 2024 has been cancelled due to the leak of exam questions. In March, the prelims were cancelled, and the date came again, but the students' hard work was spoiled once again.
