Five young men traveling from Ahmedabad to Mumbai in a Maruti Suzuki Brezza became victims of a horrific accident on May 2nd. Their journey, intended to be documented on Instagram Live, ended in tragedy at speeds reported to be around 160 kmph.
The incident occurred between 3:30 and 4:30 am on National Highway 48. According to reports, the men, aged between 22 and 27, were recording themselves driving at high speeds. Tragedy struck when the vehicle reportedly swerved to avoid an obstacle, lost control, and collided with a tree near Adas, Gujarat, roughly 100 kilometers from Ahmedabad.
Two of the passengers, Aman Mehboobbhai Sheikh and Chiragkumar K Patel, both residents of Ahmedabad, succumbed to their injuries in the crash. The remaining three occupants sustained injuries and are undergoing medical treatment. Police have registered a case against the driver, Mustafa alias Shahbad Khan Pathan.
This incident serves as a grim reminder of the dangers of reckless driving and the potentially deadly consequences of attempting to capture social media content at such high speeds.
